[Ch Swiss Star Willow Surla Seine RN 11-02-98 to 8-16 08
Our beloved Willow died peacefully and at rest. She had been in a long & healthy recovery from mammary cancer until recent metastasis to her liver.
Willow was the Dame, the Queen, a most gracious hostess. Her heart was as big and beautiful as her commanding body. Her deep brown eyes looked into yours with wisdom and power. She loved her humans fiercely and knew her job well. She patiently and diligently watched over her pack consisting of Berners Hennessy & daughter PattyAnn and her 3 cats. Sensitive and just, Willow was truly queen of her world.
Willow was also an accomplished Berner girl who worked hard to please her people. She was well known in many parade groups in Northern California. She pulled her own cart and also pulled in brace with her buddy, Hennessy. Willow was always willing to compete. She loved her Rally sport and had recently earned her first leg in Obedience.
Willow was also the proud mother of three lovely litters which include her handsome son, Ch SwissStar Black Diamond ll,RN aka "Cutter" (Wendi & Barry Giordano) and daughters Garland's FairyTails aka "Callisto" (Catherine Goldschmidt) and Garland's Once Upon A Time,RN aka "PattyAnn" (Tina Gaines) all in Charlottesville.
We hold her in our hearts as we are getting used to the empty space her once proud figure filled. Willow is sorely missed.
